2024 MLB ALL STAR MEDIA DAY WAS A HIT THANKS TO THUNDER CITY PRO

2024 MLB All Star Game Media Day at Global Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Far beyond a routine press opportunity, the 2024 MLB All-Star Game Media Day at Globe Life Field served as a catalyst for fan engagement and media momentum ahead of the Midsummer Classic. For the past 4 years, MLB Network has entrusted Thunder City Pro in partnership with Admiral Video with this important moment in sports media. The experts at Thunder City Pro and Admiral Video delivered a fully integrated, multi-channel interview solution that enabled real-time conversations with pros like Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Pete Alonso. This immersive and accessible experience energized fans and media alike, playing a pivotal role in driving anticipation for the main event—which once again claimed the title of the most-watched All-Star broadcast in professional sports with approximately 7.6 million viewers total.

To meet the demands of concurrent, high-fidelity interview coverage, Thunder City Pro engineered a fully modular, ten-station broadcast system built on principles of signal isolation, scalability, and low-latency delivery. Each station operated as an autonomous production node, outfitted with a gooseneck-mounted HD camera for adjustable framing and a three-microphone array designed to capture player, interviewer, and ambient audio with precision and redundancy.

Each station maintained a fully discrete audio-video path, ensuring clean, synchronized delivery to MLB Network's master control.

Once ingested, the feeds were managed in real time — enabling ISO recording, dynamic switching, and viewer-selectable interview streams. This compartmentalized, resilient architecture set a new benchmark in multi-source media capture, offering a scalable and fail-safe solution for live sports broadcasting at the highest level.
